Day 28. Lorne

Today we were greeted by clear, cloudless skies and a cool, crisp breeze. We packed and enjoyed breakfast at Rebecca's of Port Fairy for the best poached and scrambled eggs we have enjoyed for quite a long time. Then it was to the road.

I was under the impression that we were off to enjoy the Twelve Apostles on the Melbourne side of Port Campbell. By the time we got to them, they were going to have been something fantastic. We went through a number of sites including Bay of Islands 1, Bay of Martyrs 2, Grotto 3-7, London Bridge 8, Arch 9-10, Mutton Bird Island and after Port Campbell 11 the Twelve Apostles 12-13. The area was breathtaking. We hope we have done them justice.

At Lorne, the beach scene was interesting with youngsters learning to surf, 14.

  1. Great shots!!! You find it's difficult to capture the awe of the place? I need to go back now armed with my new found photography skills. Last time I was there was in '88. Just before the London Bridge collapsed.
